A new leaked screenshot, purported to be from Windows 8 Milestone 2 (M2), shows the System Restore options in the upcoming version of Windows with a new feature that will allow users to perform a clean reset of their system.
The image, which appeared on the Chinese website Win7China reveals the new “Restore to original factory settings” feature is likely to be introduced in Windows 8.

Leaked screenshots of the next iteration of Windows often showed a greenish wallpaper with a crossword like puzzle and the message “shhh… Let’s not leak our hard work”. It’s easy to see that those were created for the sole purpose of leaking, and hence could not be regarded as official wallpapers.

German website WinFuture has posted a video and a bunch of new screenshots from Windows 8 M3 build 7955 showing the Windows 8 login process and more about SmartScreen filtering, mounting of ISO images, Explorer and other areas of the OS. The images are from an early preview version, which is part of the third milestone of the development. The screenshots shown below does not necessarily represent the current state of the operating system as many recent changes are reported to have been added, says the German website.

Recently an early build of Windows 8 (build 7850) leaked to the web. While this build is from Milestone 1, an early compilation of the OS dating back to September 2010, there is still a lot under the hood for the users to discover. Users, particularly at the mydigitallife forums have been digging around the build and have come across several new features such as the portable workspace, push notification and a webcam tool. Meanwhile, a blogger at Softpedia has discovered that the Disk Cleanup utility has been vastly improved.
As evident from the released screenshots, the Disk Cleanup tool in Windows 8 is a dramatic improvement from that found on Windows 7, which is basically the same one on Windows XP.

Just a day after Microsoft announced that it had finished the development cycle for the new operating system, a copy of the RTM build 9200 has found its way to a number of torrent sites. The version leaked is an "N" edition of Windows 8 and does not include a bundled copy of Windows Media Player. N editions of Windows are released in Europe after the European Commission ruled in 2004 that it needed to provide a copy of Windows without Windows Media Player built in.
